  • While this may be a $4 Trillion deficit reduction, the reductions are ONLY 22% of the deficits that are being projected, there's ANOTHER $17 TRILLION in deficits that will be rung up over the 10 years ($31 TRILLION total in 10 years) if serious cuts in budget, personnel, and programs aren't begun.

  • Show the money. $1.6-$2 TRILLION needs to be cut next year. Show us a budget that gets there and then we can discuss raising taxes. The Democrats have pulled the bait and switch before on tax increases and spending cuts.

  • No one said we aren't going to pay off the debt. What has been said is that we shouldn't borrow more. If we taxed everyone in America making more than $75K at 100% we would STILL be in deficit.

  • No nation ever taxed itself to prosperity. Those people screaming about increasing taxes on the wealthy fail to realize that every dollar taken out of the hands of the people that earned it is one less dollar being invested to create jobs and grow the economy.
